My Life and The River

Okay, so… here goes. I thought when I set this up that it would be a place to post stuff about making soap. It may be from time to time, but is also going to be a place for me to post whatever I want.
This morning, as I was walking/running along the river parkway and listening to the awesome music mix that my brother gave me, I was inspired by the sight of the river sparkling in the sunshine. I know the comparison of life being like a river has been WAY over used, but I’m going to do it anyway.
I walk here this morning and see the river flow and sparkle in the sun as it continues on a journey that is never done. It reminds me that my life is much the same. The journey I am on does not stop when I reach a certain age or stop along the way. I must continue to grow and change with every step, every day. There are bound to be some rocky spots and rapids to get through, but up ahead there will always be a calm, deep pool where I can rest awhile and enjoy the peace and happiness that life brings.
That is the end of my deep thought for the day. Seems almost incomplete, but there it is. I’ve been growing (emotional and life experience – not size) a lot these past few months. It is nice to do some looking inside of myself and learning new things about who I am and who I want to be.
I did make soap this weekend. Pictures and notes will be posted once the process is complete.
